What Is r34dle?

Rule34Dle is an independent higher-or-lower guessing game inspired by the diverse characters and fandoms found on Archive of Our Own. In each round, players are shown two or more characters and asked to predict which one has the greater number of associated posts. The rules are simple, but the results can be surprisingly difficult to predict.
The game combines fandom knowledge, intuition, and a little bit of luck. Some characters are widely recognized and easy to place, while others may come from less familiar movies, television shows, books, anime, video games, online communities, or original works. Unexpected matchups are part of the fun, and even experienced players may be surprised by the final result.
Normal Mode is designed for endless play. Keep making predictions, protect your streak, and see how far you can go before making a mistake. Each correct answer increases the pressure, especially when two characters appear to be evenly matched.
Hard Mode offers a greater challenge by presenting three characters instead of two. With more possibilities to compare, every decision becomes less obvious, and a strong understanding of fandom popularity becomes even more valuable.
Daily Mode provides a shared challenge of ten rounds each day. Everyone receives the same daily questions, making it easy to compare scores with friends and see who can achieve the best result. Whether you play for a few minutes or return every day, the Daily Challenge offers a consistent way to test your knowledge.
Rule34Dle also includes a leaderboard and a community guestbook, giving players a place to share their scores, leave messages, and compare their progress with other fans. The game is intended to be casual, accessible, and enjoyable whether you are deeply familiar with fandom statistics or simply curious about which characters are more popular.
The interface is available in both English and Chinese. Rule34Dle is an independent project with its own name, presentation, and implementation. It is not affiliated with Archive of Our Own, the Organization for Transformative Works, the original AO3dle site, or any other similarly named project.
